Continuing my tour of the best places to see in Paris, the next two posts will be dedicated to the world’s most famous tourist attraction: The Eiffel tour.
First, just a little historic info on the monument as it is the landmark on every Paris travel guide >
The Eiffel Tower monument was built on a steel frame, 324 meters high. The temptation of climbing it is irresistible as well – no wonder over 200 million people have visited the Eiffel Tower already!
The tower was built by the French engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, between 1887 and 1889 and – a little known detail – it was based on a innovative technology of Romanian engineer Gheorghe Pănculescu.
Τhe Eiffel Tower is considered one of the most romantic and special places in the world, and it was captured in millions of photographs and hundreds of films during its 120 years lifetime.
Seen from the ground level, the imposing structure is fascinating, while the landscape available form the top of the tower is truly breathtaking.
Guided tours are available for tourists who want to discover interesting insights of the Eiffel Tower (such as the machine room that controls the elevators) and learn captivating details behind the history of the building.
Undoubtedly, The Eiffel Tour is the favorite place for tourists in Paris!
