The Beaches

No doubt most common reason to choose Costa Rica as your travel destination is to enjoy the beautiful, paradisaical beaches of this land.

Personally, i think it would be unfair to make a ranking of the most beautiful, most popular or most recommended beaches, so i will just enumerate a few and say that all of them are worth seeing because each has its unique charm and its own little secret that will win your heart: Manuel Antonio beach (a National Park beach) Tamarindo and Jacó beaches (the surfers paradise, really!), Montezuma and Mal Pais (for when you’re in the mood of exploring undiscovered sandy beaches), Manzanillo, Playa Conchal and many more idyllic beaches perfect for lovers, honeymooners etc.

Nature and Wildlife

Costa Rica travel offers some interesting natural attractions:

  • take a tour of the Tortuguero National Park to admire the turtles,
  • take a walk through the forest in the Braulio Carrillo National Park
  • stroll in the Monteverde private reserve,
  • have a break and admire the beautiful scenery at the La Paz waterfalls
  • take a few pictures of Irazú, Poás and Arenal volcanoes.

Canopy Tours and Whitewater Rafting

In Costa Rica you can meet all the landforms and find everything you need to quench your thirst for excitement and adrenaline, while taking a trip through the treetops in a canopy tour, or watching the forests from a white water rafting boat.
