Nice: more than just a mediterranean resort

Nice, mediterranean beach

As promised in my previous post, in this article I will continue the list of recommendations of places worth visiting in Nice.

The Mediterranean Beach

The main attraction of the city is without a doubt, the sea, with its beautifully landscaped beaches (although the rocks covering the most part of them are not quite comfortable!) and the harbor, where you will have the opportunity to see the most luxurious yachts.
With a Mediterranean climate and a six-month-long summer, the beaches are very welcoming to sun loving tourists: you could easily get used to clear warm waters, fun water sports or romantic boat cruises.

Other Recommended Spots in Nice

Other important landmarks of the city that I absolutely recommend you to visit:

Mont Boron – the world-famous hill where celebrities from around the world have set their luxurious homes; the great view offered by such a house is the reason why only the very rich can afford to own a property in this exclusivist part of town;
Promenade des Anglais – the famous walk that stretches along the beach, surrounded by palm trees; just like one hundred years ago, the alley is one of the liveliest places in town: full of tourists, day and night;
Massena Palace – the museum of art and history, exposing artifacts and artistic works, dating as far back as the ancient Greeks, when the city was founded;
Palais De La Mediterranee – the famous casino-hotel was built in the first half of the twentieth century and has hosted important personalities over time.

Being a typical French destination, the city of Nice offers a lot of cultural attractions (museums, theaters, etc.) not to be missed; also, every year the city is host to numerous events such as festivals, carnivals, concerts and parties.

Why I Would Always Love to Come Back to France

If I were to describe my trip to Nice in a short sentence, I would say that the Jewelry of French Riviera means much more than just an ordinary tourist resort: Nice ranks in the top luxury destinations along the Cote d’Azur, together with Saint Tropez, Cannes and Monte Carlo – places we will talk about soon on this blog.
