The Ancient Temple Of Edfu In Egypt

Number 3 of our Travel Photo Of The Week series is Edfu Temple – a very well preserved ancient Egyptian monument, built in honour of Horus, the falcon god. The temple is also the second largest of its kind in Egypt, after the Temple of Karnak.

Even though Egypt is going through political tough times these days, this magical country is still one of the most amazing destinations in Africa and there is no doubt that its historical sites, delightful resorts with breathtaking landscapes and seductive soft sanded beaches, as well as its warm and hospitable people will soon recapture the attention of millions of tourists from all over the world.
