Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències

This episode of Travel Photo Of The Week features two of the eight groups of buildings comprising the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències in Valencia, Spain: L’Hemisfèric and El Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia.

In our previous post we had a frontal right side view of the two buildings, while this picture was taken from the frontal left side.

  1. In this view the building on the right, looks like a space ship read for take off and the other one looks like it is in the water! Interesting.

  2. Adrian B. says:

Yes, they do look like some space ships coming from the future :)

  3. Sherry says:

Why do they both still look like fish to me? It could be the water. It could be the shape. I’m not really good at interpreting art. Hopefully, I get a better perspective once I see this in person.

    • Adrian B. says:

I see your point. These buildings may look like giant fish or other strange water creatures, the same way that everything made by human hand was inspired by nature in one way or another.

  4. That’s a fabulous photo and amazing architecture! I just want to wander inside and explore.
